Teltonika routers and gateways running RutOS 7.23 automatically configure Melita SIM cards — no manual APN setup required.

Melita and Teltonika have established a technical agreement enabling native Auto APN support on Teltonika hardware. Any Melita SIM inserted into a Teltonika device running Firmware 7.23 and above is recognised automatically and configured with the correct APN — no manual input required.

This covers the full Melita SIM range: IoT SIMs for machine-to-machine data traffic (via iot.melita.io) and standard SIMs for general data connectivity (via web.melita).

How It Works

Both Melita APN profiles are embedded natively in the RutOS Firmware APN database. When a Melita SIM is inserted, the following happens automatically:

1. SIM Detection: The modem reads the Melita SIM’s IMSI on power-up.
2. Profile Lookup: The firmware matches the MCC/MNC identifiers against the Melita entries in its APN database.
3. APN Applied: The correct Melita APN is selected and the WAN interface configured — no manual input needed.

Melita APN entries in RutOS 7.23 and above:

• iot.melita.io — Melita IoT SIM, machine-to-machine data traffic.
• web.melita — Melita standard SIM, general data connectivity.

Compatibility

Automatic APN configuration for Melita SIM cards is supported on all Teltonika devices with the Auto APN feature enabled, running Firmware 7.23 or higher. To verify, navigate to System → Firmware in the device WebUI. If an update is needed, download the latest firmware from the Teltonika portal.

Note: Devices already in the field require no immediate action. Once updated to RutOS 7.23, Melita SIMs are recognised automatically — no reconfiguration needed.
