What access rights do different user roles have?

The melita.io portal gives you the ability to add users and choose their role. Each role will have different access rights on the portal depending on the role chosen.

  • Parent Administrator: This will be the main administrator of the portal which is chosen upon registration of service. The parent administrator has rights to view all information and do any required changes on the portal. The parent administrator can be identified as he will have the above icon next to the user in the user list. A parent administrator cannot be deleted and there can only be one.
  • Administrator: An administrator has the same permissions as the parent administrator therefore he can view all information and do any required changes required on the portal. There isn’t a limit on how many administrators can be added. The only action that administrator cannot do is deleting a parent administrator.
  • User: A user will be able to view all details of the SIMs and can-do modifications to the SIM cards such as suspend / resume of SIM, activation of SIM / offer, renaming a SIM or manage SIM add-ons. A user will not be able to view the billing details or view the details of other users. User will only be able to view his own user details and can only edit his own user details.
  • Observer: An observer will only be able to view the information of the SIM cards but is unable to do any modifications to the inventory. An observer will not be able to view the billing details or view the details of other users. He can view his own details and can modify his user details only.
  • Billing: A billing user will only have access to view the billing details or change the payment method therefore user won’t be able to view details of the SIM. A billing user will only be able to view his own details and can only modify his user details only.
