Paying by Direct Debit

Direct Debit is the quickest and easiest way to pay your bill.

Save time and hassle

Your bills are paid automatically by your bank – you don’t need to do anything – payments can be viewed from your portal or on your next bill.

The simplest way to make sure your bill is paid on time and avoid any late payment, disconnection charges or service disruption

Ability to dispute your invoice

Your bank pays us 25 days after your invoice is issued; so you have plenty of time to dispute your invoice in case you do not agree with the amount we have billed you for.

Right for refund

As part of your rights, you are also entitled to a refund from your bank within 8 weeks from the date on which your account was debited

If Direct Debit is rejected, a charge of €15 applies.  Melita is not responsible for any additional bank charges.

How to set up your Direct Debit

This facility is offered by almost all banks. Once activated, your bills will be automatically settled through your bank account. We accept Direct Debit payments via SEPA regulated Banks.

To apply for Direct Debit, follow the step by step guide below:

  • Log in to the portal
  • Click on Billing from the top menu
  • Click on the Settings icon next to your current balance
  • Click on Setup SEPA Direct Debit
  • Enter your IBAN in the specified field
  • Click Save when ready

A confirmation message will be shown indicating that the Direct Debit has been correctly set up, therefore all payments going forward will be processed using this method.
